Here are some things to remember when picking blueberries at the Gainesville Organic Blueberry Farm:
Please:
1. Bring your own bags or buckets for picking – none will be provided.
2. Be out by dark !
3. Park so that other cars may pass you on the roads, all roads are being used, please keep this in mind.
4. Check for ticks when you go home – lots of wildlife means lots of ticks.
5. Pick any wild flowers or fruit that you like. There is an alligator in the pond so pick lotus flowers and swim at your own risk.
6.No pets, or adults guests without cards, unless you are U-Picking and paying for your berries – this is only possible when Ken is running U-Pick and the front gate is open.
7. Please stay out of the fenced in area near the barn unless you are going for U-Pick. If you are there for U-Pick, you must leave the way you came, same for peopler with cards – please leave only the way you came.
8. Please lock the chain behind you when you enter and exit. And dont share this combo with anyone.
9. Please close car windows and lock vehicles – we havent had any thefts yet and we would like to keep it that way!
10. Please keep your card on you at all times while at the farm – you may be asked to show it!
11. There are no waterfountains or working toilets at the farm so plan accordingly.
12. Tell your friends!
